    Hello!

    Will be interesting!

Maybe you can share a video about it on youtube!

    Thank you!

I'm not sure about technical aspects of doing so yet, but I'll do an attempt to record both sessions at DelphiDay.

I didn't have possibility to record the DelphiDay session, unfortunately. An update to Afterwarp v3.1 was presented, but its release was ultimately delayed as additional enterprise features are currently being developed, and a bigger update is now scheduled to appear before the end of this year.

It looks like I'm going to present Afterwarp v3.5 on DelphiDay 2025 in Italy on June, 2025. First, on June 19, I'm going to give a 3-hour long seminar explaining how important portions and 3D techniques work and on the second day, on June 20, I'm going to give a 50 minute talk on the framework's capabilities and new features.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to record the talks due to a very tight schedule, but everyone in the geographic vicinity is invited to join the event. See you next month!

huh, I didnt even know there was something before Powerdraw. Also funny how you left out the name before PXL xD Guess a pun on a heated bottocks is not appropriate for such an occasion.

Actually, "PowerGrafix" was initially a sort of DOS graphics library that I started around 94 or so. Portions of it kind of transformed into a plugin for DelphiX to add image rotation, scaling and so on, first using assembly, then as first attempts using Direct3D. Then, after over-frustration with DelphiX, I rewrote it using DirectX 8, which back then just got released, and this is where "PowerDraw" first appeared. I never realized "Asphyre" sounded like "pun on a heated bottocks", its original name came from female name "Асфира" ("Asfira"), which is supposed to mean something like a light shine.

Curiously, Afterwarp internally uses "PXT" as C++ namespace for all its functions. But the C++ framework itself existed in parallel with Asphyre for many years, initially I wrote it as an Asphyre port attempt for phones and Pocket PCs, but the technology was developing so quickly that by the time I had it working as I wanted, the devices themselves became obsolete.

                  Hello
                  Meaning of the name Asfira

Arabic name (أصفرة) means - "yellow, xanthous; golden, shining; caring about anything"

So, the name Asphyre comes from the Arabic language?

                  Thanks

It's just a name of a girl that I met back in university that I thought sounded cool back then, almost by the end of 1999. Didn't realize it had more profound meaning, so after 26 years, it still sounds cool! Maybe I should register it as a trademark.
